The Skyline motel was first operated by Mr. and Mrs. Mellor. They purchased farm ground from Nick Marx and built the motel residence and ten motel units in 1962. The east wing unit was added by them in 1967.
Don and Regina Schroeder purchased the motel from the Mellors in 1968 and they operated the business for ten years.
Neil and Marsha Axberg bought the business from the Schroeders in June, 1978.
In 1994, Pam and Denny Wendell bought the motel and continues to operate it and reside in the home.
